Candidates campaigning to win seats on Georgetown City Council and the Georgetown ISD school board May 6 have decorated the town with patriotic, colorful signs seeking support.
In this month’s edition, reporter Cody McCrary compiled a comprehensive guide on Page 24 documenting these candidates’ top priorities in office.
This year, Community Impact Newspaper also compiled the Williamson County voting records for each Georgetown candidate over the past decade. This information, seen on Page 13, only indicates in which Williamson County elections a candidate voted.
The records were requested in an email addressed to the Williamson County Elections Office that only included the candidates’ names. Candidates were not surveyed to see how long they had lived in the city.
These records, which are public information, do not show how a person voted. However, they do provide insight into a candidate’s historical level of involvement in local government.
