Georgetown ISD will hold a parent learning community event Oct. 17 focusing on technology.

Topics to be discussed include district resources and internet safety in the home, according to the district.

In a nutshell

Parents who attend the event can listen to presentations for how to access district resources and best practices for internet usage at home.

The event, to be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Hammerlun Center for Leadership and Learning, 507 E. University Ave., Georgetown, will include a family meal, as well as activities for children and opportunities to connect with other community resources.

The event is one of a series of monthly events held by the district to connect with the community. Parents do not have to RSVP to attend.
