Georgetown ISD will hold two information sessions for parents of incoming kindergarten students who are interested in the district's dual-language program.

What you need to know

GISD will offer these information sessions in-person and virtually to parents interested in applying for the dual-language program. Attending an information session is one of the first steps in the application process, per the district.

Family members of current dual language students who would like to apply for an incoming sibling are also asked to attend an information session.

The sessions will be held:
  • 9-10 a.m. May 7 virtually
  • 6-7 p.m. May 8 in person at the Hammerlun Center for Leadership and Learning, 507 E. University Ave., Georgetown
About the program

Dual-language students in GISD are taught in both English and Spanish, with the goal of becoming bilingual and biliterate. Instruction is provided half of the time in each language. To learn more about the district's dual language program, click here.
