From 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Jan. 17 at the Hammerlun Center for Leadership and Learning, author Jose Arturo Puga and illustrator Soor-el Puga will discuss their experiences as multilingual first-generation college graduates and offer advice for parents who would like to see their children pursue higher education.

According to district information, the first 50 families to arrive at the event will receive a free bilingual copy of the book.
