Georgetown will host eight days of free COVID-19 testing in October, according to a news release.

The testing will take place Oct. 7-11 and again Oct. 14-16 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or until supplies last at the Georgetown Community Center, 445 E. Morrow St., Georgetown.

This is a walk-up site that will not require an appointment prior to being tested, the release said. This is a cheek swab test, so people cannot eat, drink or use tobacco products 20 minutes prior to the test, it said.

The testing is open to all Texans regardless of county of residence; however, only Williamson County residents' results will appear on the Williamson County COVID-19 dashboard.

The testing site is put on by the Williamson County Office of Emergency Management and the Texas Division of Emergency Management.
