Georgetown ISD launched a COVID-19 dashboard on Sept. 16.
The dashboard can be found at www.georgetownis.org/covid19 and provides details on newly reported and lab confirmed COVID-19 cases for students and staff in the district.
As of 6 p.m. Sept. 16, the district reported 18 confirmed cases. Of the total, six are students and 12 are staff members.
From earlier:
Georgetown ISD will launch a COVID-19 dashboard by Sept. 18 to inform parents and community members of lab-confirmed cases, GISD Superintendent Fred Brent announced.
In a Sept. 15 letter to parents, Brent said the dashboard would be posted on the GISD website and reflect reported cases among GISD students and staff by campus.
“This information is important to help families make informed decisions,” Brent said. “It will be updated regularly and aligns with what the district reports to the state.”
The district also announced that it is working to develop an academic help desk for remote learners. This will allow remote learners to access additional academic support, Brent said.
Brent did not give a definitive timeline of when the help desk will launch but said it would happen in the near future.
