The Lighthouse Market shopping center, 1700 S. RR 620, Lakeway, is receiving a face-lift, said Retail Solutions Vice President Robby Eaves, the center’s leasing agent.
“The reason for the renovation is to give the center a more modern appearance to compete with new retail coming online,” he said.
Although Eaves did not disclose the cost of the project, he said the renovation includes a new facade, new monument sign and updated parking lot.
The project is the first renovation for the locally owned center since it was constructed in 2007.
All of the tenants will remain open for business during the project that began in mid-July and is expected to be completed at the end of October, he said.
Additionally, the Texas Department of Transportation will add a traffic signal at the nearby intersection of Oak Grove Boulevard and South RR 620 this fall, said Kelli Reyna, TxDOT Austin District public information officer. Construction on the $150,000 signal project is expected to begin in November and be finished in May 2017, she said.
