Little Woodrow's, 5425 Burnet Road, held its grand opening Oct. 8.

The sports bar is known for its wide selection of beers and casual atmosphere. There are three other Little Woodrow locations in Austin as well as spots in Houston and San Antonio.

Those who live nearby the new location voiced initial concerns to the city that the neighborhood was not the right fit for the bar, but Little Woodrow ownership hopes that tiff can end by hosting community events to keep the potential patrons happy.

"A series of compromises were reached to address concerns voiced by nearby Brentwood and Allandale neighborhood associations," according to a written statement from Little Woodrow's.

Round Rock-based pizza business The Original Brooklyn Pie Co. found its sixth home inside the Little Woodrow's location. The business will open Oct. 11 and is known for its giant New York–style pizza slices.
