City Council members approved a consent agreement for the creation of an in-city municipal utility district, or MUD, to be located at Sam Houston Avenue and Rockride Lane.

Plans for the 301.5-acre development, to be known as Woodhull Ranch, include single-family and multifamily housing, parks and open space as well as provisions for employment center land use.

The consent agreement will allow developers to begin the MUD creation process with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

At a later date City Council will consider zoning and development standards for the project, according to city documents.
