The early voting period for the March 3 primary election begins Feb. 18 and ends Feb. 28.

Early voting locations are open from Mon.-Sat. 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sun. noon-6 p.m., according to the Travis County clerk's office.

Registered voters may vote at any polling location in Travis County.



The election includes Democratic and Republican candidates from president down to local county and district judges.


If no candidate receives 50% of the the vote in a primary race, the top two vote getters will go to a primary runoff election May 26.

The general election between the Republican and Democratic nominees is Nov. 3.

Candidates for Austin City Council and Austin ISD do not participate in the primary elections because their races are nonpartisan.
