Tso Delivery, a new on-demand Chinese-American food delivery business, opened Aug. 23. Executive chef Jenna Choe, of Jenna’s Asian Kitchen in North Austin, serves up classics like lo mein and potstickers as well as gluten-free and vegetarian options.

The company has a mobile-optimized website and skirts third-party delivery services in favor of its own employees, who drive company-owned hybrid cars across a large delivery area. There is a no tipping policy and there are no delivery charges for orders.

The Tso Chinese Delivery team is made up of Austin residents. The central kitchen from which meals are delivered is located at 3909 N. I-35, Ste. E-5, Austin.

Although the business has only been open a week, its unique model was tested in the first few days when Austin was hit hard by rainstorms caused by Hurricane Harvey.

“We were one of the only [companies] delivering during the storm,” said Gavin Booth, one of the Tso founders.
