The Hero Way Medical Office development had a groundbreaking event Sept. 30. The project is at the southwest corner of Hero Way and Mel Matthis Boulevard.
The first building will house a 20,000-square-foot Austin Gastroenterology clinic and surgical center, said Jarrod Cady, development manager at b3 Commercial. This is expected to open in October 2022.
The second building will be a two-story, 27,000-square-foot medical office building, which is expected to open in late 2022, Cady said. No tenants are confirmed for this second phase building yet.
Leander City Council approved the zoning for the development in January.
The Hero Way Medical Office project is near the St. David's development with a free-standing emergency center, a medical office building and another planned 22-acre medical office development.
