Calvary Episcopal Church Hosts 38th Annual Thanksgiving Eve Dinner

Sit-down meals will be provided at the Calvary Episcopal Church Parish Hall downtown on Nov. 22. Those in financial need are welcome to enjoy the free dinner and fellowship. Those interested can sign up to volunteer at the event here.

Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa will host a tree lighting on the premises. Santa’s Workshop, complete with arts and crafts activities, will be hosted at the resort through Dec. 24.

Those in attendance are welcome to meet the on-site alpaca and listen to strolling carolers. Holiday cocktails and food specials will be available at the resort’s restaurant and bar.Wassail Fest

Make a stop downtown on Nov. 25 for the Sixth Annual Wassail Fest. Homemade wassail, or hot mulled cider, will be served at the event. A polka band will be performing in front of the Bastrop Museum, and 26 downtown businesses will be participating in the event.

Bastrop River of Lights

The Bastrop River of Lights is returning to the June Hill Pape riverwalk trail. Attendees can enjoy the lights along the waterside. The lights will be available for viewing throughout the holiday season.

Peppermint Parkway


A full mile of holiday displays can be found at Peppermint Parkway. This year, Pepper’s Petting Zoo can be found at the parkway along with amusement rides and go-kart races.
