Tahitian Village residents are coming together to host a community-wide yard sale on Oct. 5.
In a nutshell
Organized by local Realtor Chrissy Baker, sales will offer a range of treasures from clothing to household items, electronics, toys and more.
In the spring, Baker organized a similar event, which she said was a success.
Because it is not an official city-sanctioned sale, Baker took the initiative to gather addresses and spread the word.
"In our community, someone steps forward just about every year to rally our neighbors to participate in a big, one-day garage sale; this year it’s me," Baker said.
What you need to know
Twenty-one families are set to participate in the yard sale, which will begin around 7 a.m. and run through the early afternoon.
