Spring has sprung; the plants are flowering, the birds are calling, and yard sale season is officially underway.
To commemorate, residents of Bastrop—most of them in Tahitian Village—have come together to kick-start the season with a communitywide sale.
In a nutshell
Because it is not an official city-sanctioned sale, local Realtor Chrissy Baker took the initiative to organize the event.
"In our community, someone steps forward just about every year to rally our neighbors to participate in a big, one-day garage sale; this year it’s me," Baker said.
What you need to know
As of the morning of the sale, 21 families are set to participate in the yard sale.
Most of the sales will begin Saturday, March 23, at 8 a.m. and run through 2 p.m., with a handful starting slightly earlier or finishing a little later in the afternoon.
What else?
The map and chart below can be used throughout the day for those using their mobile devices. Baker said Tahitian Village Market at 128 Tahitian Drive will have printed flyers available.
