With 317 of 329 precincts reporting across Texas Senate District 18, Republican incumbent Lois Kolkhorst appears to win the District 18 seat over Democrat challenger Josh Tutt.
Unofficial election results from the Texas Secretary of State's Office report Kolkhorst has received 66.17% of votes to Tutt's 33.83% of votes. The two are separated by more than 90,000 votes.
Across the 18 counties in the district, 280,608 votes had been cast in the race as of publication out of 604,805 total registered voters. The Secretary of State's Office reports voter turnout across the district for the race to be 46.40% of registered voters, with Fayette County seeing the highest voter turnout of District 18 residents with 58.19% of registered voters casting a ballot in the Nov. 8 election.
