Dripping Springs ISD received a ‘B’ for the 2025-26 school year in the Texas Education Agency A-F accountability ratings. The district scored 89 out of 100 possible points.
The big picture
The results released on Aug. 14 signify the district’s fourth consecutive ‘B’ rating.
DSISD’s ratings include:
- Five ‘A’ campuses
- Four ‘B’ campuses
Two campuses received a higher letter rating than the previous year, five received the same score and one earned a lower letter score. Wildwood Springs Elementary opened in August 2025, and the 2025-26 school year marked the first accountability rating for the campus.
All DSISD campuses earned acceptable ratings. Per TEA standards, ‘D’ and ‘F’ ratings are considered “unacceptable.”
Explained
The A-F accountability ratings, established by the 2017 Texas Legislature, rank school districts on three metrics: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. The system is designed to drive continuous improvement, according to a news release from the TEA.
DSISD earned 90 out of 100 points for student achievement, 79 points for school progress and 88 for closing the gaps.
One more thing
Statewide, 24% of districts and campuses improved ratings from the previous year, and 85% of campuses achieved acceptable academic performance, according to the news release. Around 22% of DSISD campuses improved their score by at least one letter rating, and 100% of campuses achieved acceptable academic performance.
The results released on Aug. 14 are preliminary, and the TEA will release final results at a later date. To view A-F school ratings, visit www.TXschools.gov.
