The project—which began Nov. 12—included roadway resurfacing and upgrading drainage systems. Upgrades to the road were designed to provide a smoother and safer experience for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, the news release states.
The road improvements cost $794,000 and were funded as part of the city's voter-approved 2022 Street Bond, Economic Development Corporation Manager Donna Lowder said in an email to Community Impact.

“These upgrades not only enhance the longevity of Park Drive but also elevate the overall experience for park visitors, making access safer and more convenient,” Wagster said in the news release.
