Dean Road reopened for traffic during the final phase of the reconstruction projects, according to an April 16 announcement by Cibolo staff.

The background

On Dec. 12, Cibolo City Council authorized the city manager to enter a contract with D&D Contractors Inc. for the reconstruction of three roads in the city.

The city funding for the projects was $5.18 million, which covered Dean Road, Bolton Road and Lower Seguin Road.

On Jan. 29, construction on Dean Road began, and on March 1, the second phase began, leaving road access for residents only.

The final phase of the project will consist of raising utilities, installing pavement markings and grading the shoulder. Final completion is scheduled for the end of April.
