On Jan. 27, the Loop 1604 eastbound entrance ramp toward I-35 permanently closed.

This closure is part of the I-35 Northeast Expansion Central Project, which includes the construction of approximately 9.5 miles of elevated, nontolled lanes from I-410 North to FM 3009.

Traffic will now access eastbound Loop 1604 using the entrance ramp between Biltmore Lakes and IKEA-RBFCU Parkway, which is approximately a quarter mile from the closed entrance ramp.

The intersection of Lookout Road and North Loop 1604 East will be temporarily closed. Turnaround lanes at this intersection will also be closed temporarily.
