With Comal County showing all vote centers reporting, Brian Reyes took the majority vote in the City Council Place 5 race with 63.61% of votes. Incumbent Kay Bower received 36.39%.
Reyes will be sworn in following the canvassing of votes. All results are unofficial until canvassed.

In the contested race for Garden Ridge City Council Place 5, Brian Reyes leads early vote totals with 65.48% of votes. Incumbent Kay Bower received 34.52% of early votes.
What else?
The city of Garden Ridge had three city council positions on the May 4 ballot, with the Place 1 incumbent Kelly Smith and Place 4 incumbent Todd Arvidson running unopposed.
Following the canvassing of votes, Smith and Arvidson will be sworn into their respective seats.
