Guadalupe County will be performing a full-scale exercise to train emergency responders.

This role-playing crisis situation will be held at Byron P. Steele High School on June 30 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to information from the county, the exercise will help train, build experience and provide knowledge that prepares responders for real-world threats.

The training will have a full-scale exercise with increased law enforcement, fire and EMS presence at the school.

Because of the large emergency responder presence, county staff has informed residents that the event is only a training exercise and should not be a cause of concern.
