With new coffee shops, gyms and barbershops, the Northeast San Antonio community can spice up their routines with several businesses to check out.

1. 9Round

9Round opened a new location in Cibolo at 646 FM 78, Ste. 139, on Feb. 25. The kickboxing gym offers 30-minute high-intensity interval training style classes.

2. Bob Mills Furniture

The furniture store sells high-end furniture such as bed sets, recliners, sofas and luxury mattresses, store manager Dwayne Hernandez said. Bob Mills Furniture also offers BedMatch, which is a piece of technology that uses 18 statistical measurements and sensory technology to scientifically pinpoint the best mattress for an individual.


3. Clean Eatz

Air Force veteran Howell Hsieh owns the location. Hsieh also owns the location at 158 E. Sonterra Blvd. in San Antonio. Clean Eatz offers dine-in and take-out wraps, bowls, burgers, flatbreads, smoothies and more. The restaurant also offers non-subscription-based meal plans.

4. Common Ground

The business, founded by real estate broker Amanda Haden, is a shared workspace for professionals in the real estate industry. Haden said the space will allow a collaborative and flexible work environment for professionals to meet, work and connect.


5. Dutch Bros

The chain offers a range of beverages, including coffee drinks, smoothies, teas and its signature energy drinks. Dutch Bros opened its first Cibolo location in May, according to previous reporting by Community Impact.

6. James Family Tax

The business—which offers tax preparation services—is locally owned by husband and wife duo Richard and Alexis James. James Family Tax also offers bookkeeping services, LLC assistance and more.


7. Krowned Beard and Barber

Krowned Beard and Barber is a full-service barbershop that specializes in all hair types. The business caters to men's, women's and children's haircuts, including hair color, shave, dreadlocks, specialty haircuts and other services.

LoopDeco

The company works with local businesses and nonprofits to find a place for furniture that can be resold, owner Roman Pennell said. The business reuses around 90% of the picked-up furniture, which can be resold, donated or recycled through businesses in the area.

8. The Human Bean


The Oregon-based drive-thru coffee chain serves hot, iced and blended coffee drinks, teas, smoothies and energy drinks.

9. Whataburger

This is the first Whataburger location in Cibolo, with the closest locations being in Live Oak, Schertz and Universal City. Started in 1950, Whataburger offers burgers, chicken sandwiches and more.
