Shavano Park firm KFW Engineers + Surveying announced in late March it has rebranded to New Jersey-based Colliers Engineering & Design, following Colliers’ acquisition of KFW in 2022.

“Joining a large, multidiscipline firm that shares our employee culture and focuses on excellence, was the logical next step for our clients in Texas,” KFW co-owner Blaine Lopez said in a statement.

According to a news release, Colliers acquired KFW, creating a partnership enabling both firms to realize their growth objectives.

Founded in 2006, KFW Engineers + Surveying said the rebrand expands the company’s reach under the Colliers brand.

“There is tremendous potential in Texas, and we are excited to accelerate our client's success with our new brand, robust resources, and multidiscipline advantages,” KFW co-owner George Weron added.

KFW co-owner Steven Krauskopf said the move lets his firm to continue to attract top-tier talent in a challenging labor market and provide access to invaluable professional development and training.

“Our employees will continue to have ample prospects for career growth, and our clients will continue to deliver their projects on time,” Krauskopf said in a statement.

With the addition of KFW’s well-established offices, Colliers Engineering & Design now has locations across Texas, including offices in the San Antonio area, Austin, Bryan, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth, New Braunfels and Houston.

KFW has been consulting with the city of Shavano Park on the town’s upcoming citywide bond-funded road improvement project.
