Unofficial state election totals from March 5 showed LaHood claiming the GOP primary with 53.4% of the vote, and Allison placing second with 39.4%. Michael Champion finished third with 7.1%.

LaHood said his campaign priorities included border security, school choice vouchers and crime, adding that Allison compromised too often on key issues and that he was not conservative enough on other issues,

Unofficial state elections data showed LaHood with 54.5% of the vote and Allison trailing with 38.6%, with 47% of all polling locations reporting. Michael Champion had 6.8%.

According to unofficial Bexar County early voting totals in the March 5 elections, attorney Marc LaHood has a lead in a three-way race for the Republican Party nomination in Texas House District 121.
