The background
The White Rabbit, which occupies the former site of the short-lived Ace of Steaks restaurant in Stone Oak, is owned by Ashleigh and Paul Butler, a U.S. Army veteran.
Ashleigh Butler went onto her family's new business social media channels to promote what is described as a "private, exclusive social club experience.”
According to the owners, the poker room at The White Rabbit opened first to the public April 1, with restaurant and full bar operations to open April 4.
A closer look
Designs and the menu at The White Rabbit are inspired by Lewis Carroll’s famed novel, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland."
The bar will offer happy hour specials and craft signature cocktails, such as The White Rabbit, The Mad Hatter and The Cheshire Cat.
Headed by chef and U.S. Navy veteran John Lopez, the kitchen at The White Rabbit will feature various dishes made from scratch, such as pork belly sliders, crab cakes, the Texas Cubano sandwich, steak and lobster, and triple layer chocolate ganache cake.
The owners said food will be available for lunch, dinner and brunch, and that patio seating is available.
