Goodwin Lane/Conrads Lane
Project: Full reconstruction of the two connecting roads will include sidewalks, curbs utilities, drainage and a new turning lane throughout Conrads Lane.
Update: The projects are progressing through their respective design and predesign phases, laying the groundwork for future construction and improvements, said Scott McClelland, assistant director of transportation and capital improvements for the city of New Braunfels.

- Cost: $10.7 million
- Funding source: 2019 Bond
Project: Spot repairs of the roadway base and a complete mill and overlay of the road will take place later this year, from I-35 to County Line Road, said Brenadette Faust, capital projects manager for the city of New Braunfels.
Update: New Braunfels Utilities completed its McQueeney Road 24-inch water line project in 2023.

- Cost: $2.16 million
- Funding source: 2023 Bond
Project: There will be roadway rehabilitation from Common Street to Lincoln Street, which will include pedestrian and intersection improvements.
Update: The project design is nearing completion and construction is to begin soon.

- Funding source: 2023 bond citywide streets program
Klein Road expansion
Project: Crews continue to work on the expansion of Klein Road from Walnut Avenue to FM 725, incorporating increased lane capacity and pedestrian and drainage improvements.
Update: The project is ongoing as construction continues and on track to be complete. Lane closures and diversions to one lane will continue.

- Cost: $17.5 million
- Funding source: 2019 Bond
Project: Reconstruction work continues on the I-35 southbound to northbound turnaround at FM 725. The northbound to southbound side was completed in the winter, said Tanya Brown, a spokesperson for the Texas Department of Transportation.
Update: Construction crews have begun paving the roadway for the turnaround and are working to install a raised curb, Brown said. The original completion date was expected to be September 2023. Brown said the timeline for completing the project was pushed back due to material acquisition delays as well as a change in contractors.
