What you need to know
The council approved an economic incentive agreement with the New Braunfels-based company—which sells a variety of individually packaged pickles— in May of 2022.
The New Braunfels Economic Development Corporation, or NBEDC, and Texas Tito’s agreed to an 1-year agreement extension in July of 2023 due to initial construction delays. The additional 6-month extension was requested by the company due to federal permitting complications with a floodplain revision, which extended the anticipated date for occupancy and operations at the new facility, according to agenda documents.
The cost
There are no additional fiscal impacts for extending the incentive agreement, according to the resolution approved by council.
The incentive is not to exceed $550,000 and looks to support the retention and creation of primary jobs and offset costs for a 12-inch waterline to service the project site, according to the extension agreement.
