New Braunfels residents can now access trash and recycling schedules through the Waste Wise app.

The city of New Braunfels introduced the Waste Wise mobile app to provide residents with tools for managing solid waste and recycling services, according to a Dec. 2 news release from the city.

The app, available on Apple and Android devices, offers features such as personalized collection schedules, push notification reminders and a "Waste Wizard" to guide proper item disposal, as per the release.

The app’s features, according to the release, include:
  • Collection schedules: view trash, recycling and yard waste pickup dates by address
  • Notification alerts: set reminders for collection days and updates
  • Waste Wizard: look up disposal methods for household items
  • Service requests: report issues directly to the Solid Waste & Recycling team
“This new tool gives New Braunfels residents a convenient way to manage their waste services efficiently, contributing to a cleaner community,” Assistant Public Works Director Matthew Eckmann said in the release.


The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store by searching New Braunfels Waste Wise.
