According to a Dec. 10 district news release, the school will move from the Long Creek campus to the current Lamar Elementary campus in fall 2025, and share the site with the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program.
Students voted earlier in the school year to choose the new school name, mascot and colors, as per the release.
The students selected the phoenix as the mascot and yale blue and syracuse orange as the school colors.
The relocation follows the opening of Legend Point Elementary and a new Lamar Elementary next year, which will leave the existing Lamar building vacant, according to the release.
The transition will take effect for the 2025-26 school year.
