Why are you running for this office and what is your top priority?

Affordability, affordability, affordability. I’m running to oppose City Council policies that degrade our quality of life and advocate for wise fiscal decisions—including multi-million-dollar investments in high-quality city-owned public housing for struggling young professionals while reducing waste and inefficiency in our bloated budget.

How do you view city spending and taxing, and would you pursue any specific fiscal strategies in office?

Austin should invest boldly in residents while demanding accountability for every taxpayer dollar. I’d prioritize affordable housing, infrastructure, and essential services while cutting waste and scrutinizing ineffective spending. I’d pursue progressive revenue strategies rather than regressive fees or indiscriminate cuts that disproportionately burden working families.

How would you maintain, or change, Austin’s homeless strategy initiatives?

Austin should treat unhoused people with dignity while keeping public spaces safe. I’d expand mental-health services, and employment pathways while empowering APD to enforce laws against violence, theft, and dangerous public behavior. Compassion and accountability can coexist: help people leave the streets while protecting law abiding Austinites.

What are the top mobility challenges in your district and how should they be addressed?

As a daily rail user, I know Austin needs more reliable, safe transportation. I’d push CapMetro to enact a no-homeless policy, expand affordable micro mobility, and better connect transit with bike and pedestrian infrastructure. Residents shouldn’t be forced to get a car to get around

Why are you running for this office and what is your top priority?

I’m running because Austin needs to focus on its core responsibilities: public safety, affordability, infrastructure, and responsible spending. My top priority is making Austin safer and more affordable by restoring accountability and ensuring taxpayer dollars deliver measurable results.

How do you view city spending and taxing, and would you pursue any specific fiscal strategies in office?

Austin taxpayers are already paying enough. I would oppose unnecessary tax increases, review city spending position by position, prioritize essential services, and require measurable outcomes for taxpayer funded programs. Before asking residents for more money, City Hall should identify savings and eliminate waste.

How would you maintain, or change, Austin’s homeless strategy initiatives?

I support compassionate assistance, but programs must produce measurable results. I would prioritize moving people from encampments into shelter, treatment, employment, and permanent housing while enforcing laws protecting public spaces. Funding should be tied to outcomes, with regular audits and accountability for service providers.

What are the top mobility challenges in your district and how should they be addressed?

District 3 needs safer roads, better maintained infrastructure, and transportation improvements that reflect actual demand and available resources. I would prioritize fixing existing roads, improving traffic flow and pedestrian safety, and evaluating major transportation projects based on cost, benefits, and measurable results before committing additional taxpayer dollars.

Too much out of control i belief we need to do a complete Audit of every department spending. Reduce non-emergency spending for 1 year. Why are you running for this office and what is your top priority?

Austin needs leaders who aren't career politicians. Our affordability and displacement crisis keeps worsening. I'm a naturalized citizen who chose Austin, and I'm fighting for it. My priority is transparency: no secrets on spending, voting, or who's really influencing City Hall. Property owners aren't ATMs.

How do you view city spending and taxing, and would you pursue any specific fiscal strategies in office?

Property taxes jumped 110.8% in ten years, while gas, fees, and inflation squeeze us further. I'd freeze the APD budget, audit existing bonds before new ones, and hold Project Connect and the Convention Center accountable to taxpayers. No more corporate tax breaks, like the Dog's Head deal, without community benefits.

How would you maintain, or change, Austin's homeless strategy initiatives?

Clearing encampments without addressing root causes is cruel and ineffective. Losing an ID in a sweep only makes it harder to access help. Cutting non-profit funding won't solve chronic homelessness either. I'd move homelessness services under Austin Housing, so we're solving the actual housing problem, not just managing it.

What are the top mobility challenges in your district and how should they be addressed?

Transit connectivity is my district's biggest mobility challenge, and it's about who can access it. I don't own a car, so reliable CapMetro service matters to me and to working families who don't have a choice. We need stronger east-west connections, safer trains and buses, and microtransit to fill gaps.
