The city of Round Rock is looking for community input as it begins planning for improvements at the intersection of Sam Bass Road and Hairy Man Road, according to a news release.
Overview
After engineers discovered a “skewed geometry of the intersection” and lack of right-of-way, the city is planning to build a roundabout to help improve traffic flow and safety.
According to the city, the roundabout will handle traffic more efficiently than stop signs or signals, while also reducing the likelihood of serious accidents. Construction on the project, which is still in the design phase, is expected to begin as early as the fall of 2025.
