County Engineer Adam Boatright will evaluate school crosswalks on county-maintained roadways. Boatright will lead the effort in coordination with school districts and regional partners to help determine potential safety projects and apply for funding, according to a county news release.
There are approximately 35 schools located on county-maintained roads, Boatright said.
The county’s school crosswalk study is anticipated to be completed in summer 2027.
