The Texas Department of Transportation is hosting an in-person and virtual public hearing to gather input on proposed improvements to US 75, according to the department’s website.
The in-person public hearing will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. March 16 at the First Baptist Richardson, located at 1001 N. Central Expressway, Richardson. The virtual hearing will open at 5:30 p.m. March 16 and remain open until March 24.
The proposed project would convert the highway’s existing high-occupancy vehicle lanes to peak-hour technology lanes between I-635 in Dallas County and SH 121 in Collin County. At any time, high-occupancy vehicles, low-emission vehicles and motorcycles will be able to use the technology lanes. During nonpeak travel times, single-occupant vehicles will also be able to use the technology lanes.
