Prosper ISD’s Board of Trustees named Greg Bradley as the lone finalist for superintendent at a special meeting Sept. 30.
"When the board began this search, we were looking for a leader who understands what makes Prosper ISD special. No one understands that better than Dr. Bradley," Board President Kelly Cavender said in a Sept. 30 district news release.
Bradley would replace acting Superintendent Bill McLaughlin, who was appointed in May following former Superintendent Holly Ferguson’s announcement of her retirement in March.
About the candidate
Bradley is no stranger to PISD. He served the district in various roles from 2012 to 2025, according to the release:
Principal of Reynolds Middle School, 2012-17
Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations, 2017-20
Deputy Superintendent, 2020-25
Bradley started a new position as superintendent at Ennis ISD in May 2025, per the release.
How we got here
PISD worked with search firm Impact Education Specialists throughout the superintendent search process.
Bradley did not originally submit an application for the position, Cavender said at the Sept. 30 meeting.
Instead, members of the board reached out to Bradley and invited him to share his vision for the district.
“He has deep roots here, and his executive leadership at Ennis ISD gave him valuable outside experience,” Board Vice President Garrett Linker said in the release. “That is why the board reached out and asked him to return.”
While Bradley is grateful for his time at EISD, he is excited for the opportunity to return to Prosper, he said.
“I had such a great experience [in Ennis ISD], but this has been home for a long time,” Bradley said.
What happens next?
Under state law, the board must wait at least 21 days after naming Bradley the lone finalist to vote on his appointment as superintendent.
The board expects to vote on the appointment in October, according to the release.
At a June 17 work session, Impact Education Specialists partner Doug Williams presented a search timeline that shows a projected start date for the new superintendent between November and January.
