Celina Rodeo saddles up for second year at Southfork Ranch

Rodeo Celina is set to return for its second year.

The PRCA-sanctioned event will be held at the Southfork Ranch in Parker and run from May 30-31 and June 1. Tickets will be available beginning March 10 at www.RodeoCelina.com.

“Southfork Ranch is the perfect place for Collin County’s only PRCA rodeo,” said Sean Terry, a Rodeo Celina member and vice president of entitlements for Centurion American Development Group, in a March 3 press release. “We invite not only all of Celina but all North Texans to join us in this exciting weekend of Western entertainment and action.”

The event

The rodeo will feature several events including steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding and bull riding.

Each day of the rodeo will have a special theme and beneficiary.

• Friday, May 30: Thank a Veteran Night benefitting the American Legion Post 145
• Saturday, May 31: Tough Enough to Wear Pink which benefits the Tuman Breast Cancer Foundation
• Sunday, June 1: Orange Out for the Celina Bobcats to benefit the Celina ISD FFA program
