Park Boulevard night construction, First Street closure: See 5 DFW transportation updates

Project: The work will cover the rehabilitation of around 2,950 linear feet of Burney Lane/Midway Road from the intersection of Lonesome Dove Road in Southlake until Meadowmere Lane in Grapevine, according to city documents.
Update: Grapevine City Council approved an interlocal agreement with Tarrant County for the project during a July 7 meeting.

2. Ohio Drive and Gaylord Parkway roundabout
Project: A roundabout is being added at the intersection of Ohio Drive and Gaylord Parkway in Frisco.
Update: Traffic in both directions has shifted from using the east half of Ohio Drive to using the west half of the road as of July 9, according to a July 9 city news release.
- Timeline: March 2026-early 2027
- Cost: $3.5 million
- Funding source: city of Frisco, external funding
Project: Crews will repair concrete along Park Boulevard from Preston Road to Independence Parkway, including concrete panel replacement.
Update: For the first phase, crews will replace concrete panels from Preston Road to Ohio Drive at night to avoid daytime road disruptions starting in late July.

- Cost: $3.19 million
- Funding source: city of Plano
Project: First Street in Prosper is being widened from two lanes to four lanes between Dallas North Tollway and Coleman Street, including underground drainage improvements.
Update: The roadway will be completely closed between Main Street and Church Street from July 20 to July 27 to install underground utilities, according to a town news release.

5. Hillside Village neighborhood road resurfacing
Project: Asphalt slurry seal was applied to about 20,500 square yards of streets in Allen’s Hillside Village neighborhood. The surface treatment will cover minor defects, improve the riding surface and extend the road’s lifespan, per city documents.
Update: The project was completed on June 15, Allen Communication Manager Kristi Soto said.
