What would your top priorities be if elected?

People don’t think much about roads until they’re trying to get home. Every project we build and every decision we make is about something bigger. It’s about giving parents more time around the dinner table with their kids instead of sitting in traffic. It’s about planning ahead and protecting taxpayers

What are the biggest challenges facing the county?

Williamson County is unique. With a population of 750,000 we’re the twelfth largest county in Texas and not anchored by large municipalities like Dallas, Houston, or Austin. It’s key that we partner with our cities like Round Rock, Hutto, Taylor and Jarrell on projects like roads, water and public safety.

What projects are most important for the county to focus on for the future?

Williamson County is in a higher education desert. Our citizens and employers lack the access to public four-year college programs. The University Texas provides amazing programs but simply isn’t accessible for our most qualified citizens and students. We need regional higher education workforce training with program decisions made locally.
