Williamson County officials broke ground on a new segment of the Ronald Reagan Boulevard expansion in Georgetown on Oct. 7.
About the project
This portion of the project will construct two new southbound lanes from Williams Drive to CR 245. The existing road will become the northbound lanes, separated by a median, according to a county news release.
“Ronald Reagan Boulevard is a vital roadway. As neighborhoods like Sun City, Parmer Ranch, Highland Village and Somerset Ranch continue to expand, the area will continue to be a magnet for both residential and commercial growth,” Precinct 3 Commissioner Valerie Covey said in a statement.
The 2.4-mile project will cost approximately $27 million and is anticipated to be completed by summer 2028, the release states.
