A virtual store put on as a fundraiser by Friendswood High School students raised more than $800, with students now working to fulfill the orders, officials with Friendswood ISD said.
The gist
The Stable, which is a student-run and -led merchandise shop, was relaunched in January and provides students a way to use creativity of design for products as well as gain marketing and business management experience, according to an October newsletter from the district.
The store was online and had a number of products available. Those items included T-shirts, sweaters, keychains, flags, hats and school supplies, according to the website. Students with the store stopped taking orders Nov. 15, but in the time it was open, it made $810.62, Chief Communications Officer Dayna Owen said.
