Pearland City Council approved a nearly $8.8 million contract for drainage improvements in several subdivisions at its Sept. 28 meeting.
What residents need to know
The improvements will cover around 47,000 feet of roadside ditch repairs within the Hickory Creek, Garden Acres, Herridge Miller and Brookland Acres subdivisions, including:
Replacement of existing storm sewer culverts
Installation of inlets, manholes and safety end treatments
Repair of pavement and affected driveways
The project also includes replacing a failed embankment slope along Hickory Slough, as well as traffic control, erosion prevention, landscaping and other site restoration, according to city documents.
