Texas Department of Transportation officials said in late November that improvements at the crossing of US 75 and the President George Bush Turnpike were 81 percent complete.

The $37 million project, paid for by TxDOT and toll revenue, will add access ramps to and from the turnpike and additional lanes along US 75. Crews are working on reconfiguring the work zone to pour concrete and install structural steel for traffic barriers, according to a Nov. 28 report from TxDOT.

Construction should be complete in February, a TxDOT spokesperson said.
