A new portion of northern Plano began receiving on-demand shuttle services Aug. 27 as Dallas Area Rapid Transit looks to continue expanding it’s “last mile” transportation to and from bus and rail stations.

The service, called GoLink, allows customers to schedule on-demand trips via a free app called TapRide, or by calling this DART phone number: 214-452-1827.

The new service area is bordered by SH 121, Custer Road, Spring Creek Parkway and Ohio Drive, according to a DART news release. Other parts of Plano that receive GoLink service include the Legacy business area and a swath of land bordered by Hedgcoxe Road and Chase Oaks Boulevard, US 75, Parker Road and Custer Road.

GoLink customers can travel anywhere within their zone or to designated anchor points, such as rail stations, agency spokesperson Mark Ball said.

DART will charge regular fares for GoLink services, according to the news release. The shuttle will be available from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
