The second generation of a retail development at the southwest corner of Jupiter Road and the President George Bush Turnpike is poised to deliver greater retail and restaurant options as well as medical services in Richardson.

The Shire, located at 3600 and 3610 Shire Blvd., Richardson, currently houses Apollonia’s Italian Kitchen, Main Street Bistro, RE/MAX and Liberty Burger among others.

With a projected mid-October completion, the project’s second phase will include 11,200 square feet of additional space to be leased by a variety of restaurant, retail and medical tenants, according to the project’s developer Keeson Martin, principal of Standridge Companies.

Sandwich shop Jersey Mike’s has signed a lease for a 1,500-square-foot space, Martin said. Two remaining spaces of 7,200 square feet and 2,500 square feet are still available, as well as a 1.08-acre pad site that is also available for ground lease, build-to-suit or sale. According to the developers, the larger space can be divided to accommodate multiple tenants.

With CityLine located just west of The Shire, there are over 300,000 residents and 13,000 businesses within a 10-minute drive of the development, according to data provided by Standridge Companies.
