UPDATE 9:40 p.m. Assistant Austin Police Chief Ely Reyes said police determined the Goodwill incident involved a donated military-type memento that caught fire after being handled by an employee.

UPDATE 8:12 p.m. Austin police said the explosion was not a package bomb and the items inside were "not a bomb, rather an incendiary device. At this time we have no reason to believe this incident is related to previous package bombs."

Original post: Authorities are on the scene of another explosion near a South Austin Goodwill store in the 9600 block of Brodie Lane, near Slaughter.

Austin-Travis County EMS reported injuries to a male subject. Community Impact Newspaper is on the scene and will report more details as they become available.

There have been five package bomb explosions in Central Texas in March. Two men were injured in south Austin on Sunday night in a bomb that involved a tripwire.
