Celebrate those who served in the armed forces with Veterans Day events this weekend.
Field of Honor
More than 1,500 U.S. flags will be displayed in San Gabriel Park to pay tribute to veterans, military service members and first responders during the week of Veterans Day. Flags to be used for the display can be purchased online for $40. The display is presented by the Rotary Club of Georgetown. 2 p.m. (opening ceremony). Event continues daily until Nov 12. Free. Georgetown ISD celebrates veterans
More than a dozen Georgetown ISD schools will be honoring people who have served in armed forces on Friday, November 10. Veterans and active military members in our community are invited to join the events. Find locations and times on

Veterans Day Ceremony at Sun City

Worth The Trip: Leander’s new Veterans Park
