1. Democratic National Committee deputy chair to speak at Ann Richards Dinner
The Collin County Democratic Party will hold its annual Ann Richards dinner from 7-10 p.m. Saturday at the Plano Event Center, 2000 E. Spring Creek Parkway. The featured guest of the evening will be Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), the deputy chair for the Democratic National Committee. 2. Final Movies in the Park showing
The final showing from Movies in the Park will feature LEGO Batman on Saturday and will be held at Haggard Park, 901 E. 15th St., Plano. Attendees are encouraged to bring assembled LEGO Batmobiles to be entered into a competition. If inclement weather persists, an event organizer said residents will be notified of a potential cancellation on Downtown Plano Arts District’s
social media pages. The event is free to the public, and food trucks will be on site to sell refreshments.

3. Annual video game tournament
Versus Gampeplay will host its eighth annual Absolute Battle tournament—a yearly video game tournament centered around fighting games—Friday and Saturday at the Comfort Inn, 700 E. Central Expressway, Plano. The event will open its doors 6 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday. Online registration for the event is closed, but attendees can register at the door on Friday for $60, plus $10 per tournament. Spectators can purchase a pass for $20.
