There are plenty of things going on this week in Conroe and Montgomery this week, April 24-28, between the Montgomery City Council and Montgomery County Commissioners Court meetings and several events taking place this weekend.
Here are a few things you should know before starting the work week:
1.
Conroe City Council meets at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday for its workshop meeting and 9:30 a.m. Thursday for its action meeting at 300 W. Davis St., Conroe. The council will discuss several items, including a ban smoking in Conroe bars, a resolution that supports the creation of Municipal Utility District No. 90 on more than 40 acres of land, waivers for a telecommunications tower project and amendments to the wastewater master plant.

Montgomery City Council meets 6 p.m. Tuesday at 101 Old Plantersville Road, Montgomery. The council will discuss several items, including funding for the Houston Street rehabilitation project and water line replacements on Houston Street and Hwy. 105, alcohol beverage permit applications submitted by Stoney’s Liquor-Montgomery and The Kroger Company, and a proposal by Entergy Texas, Inc. to build a Montgomery County power station.

Montgomery County Commissioners Court meets at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at 501 N. Thompson St., Conroe. The court will consider several items, including discussion of 2018 fiscal year budget projections.
