WHAT WE REPORTED Expansion began in 2016 to accommodate 4 million additional passengers per year at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The terminal expansion project adds 70,000 square feet, and nine gates will be added for domestic and international flights.

THE LATEST The south terminal renovation was completed in the spring, which brought the airport’s capacity up from 11 million to 12 million.

WHAT'S NEXT Phase 1, which will boost airport capacity to 15 million passengers, will wrap up in 2017.
