Frisco City Council meeting

Frisco City Council will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Frisco City Hall, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd. During the meeting, Council will vote on continuing an agreement with the cities of McKinney and Plano to offer first-time homebuyer classes. The classes are required to be considered for a First Time Homebuyer Loan through Frisco’s Targeted Down Payment Program. View the agenda here.

Filing for school district and city elections

The first day to file for the May city and school district elections is Wednesday. The mayor's seat and Places 5 and 6 on City Council are up for election in May. Both Frisco Mayor Maher Maso and Council member Scott Johnson are term limited and will not seek re-election this May. Frisco ISD board of trustees Places 4 and 5 are also up for election this May. Board President Anne McCausland and board secretary Debbie Gillespie are both seeking re-election. Election Day is May 6. Frisco Economic Development Corp. meeting

The FEDC board of directors will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at 6801 Gaylord Parkway, Ste. 400. During the meeting, the board will discuss a proposed hotel market feasibility and financial analysis study. View the agenda here.
